Dr Mohammed A. Ibrahem is a senior researcher at the University of Duhok’s Physics Department, a trainer at the Pedagogical Training and Academic Development Center, and the Acting Dean of the College of Science. He received his Ph.D. from the National Taiwan University and Academia Sinica/Research Center of Applied Science.
He had an active career as a genuine instructor and researcher. His main research interests are in nanostructured materials for energy-related applications such as solar cells, lithium-ion batteries, and supercapacitors.
He is knowledgeable of the teaching purpose and the importance of offering the highest-quality educational experience to students. Demonstrate leadership in the design and implementation of the transformational undergraduate and graduate curriculum. Recognize and value the relevance of a diverse student body, as well as mechanisms for retaining and supporting all students. Commitment to openness and honesty when interacting with students.
Currently working on the introducing Fit for a School project to DoE at Duhok Governorate in cooperation with GIZ.

Making students fit for school by transferring schools into healthy places. Addressing the concepts of intersectoral collaboration, sustainable mechanisms, active community involvement and the strengthening of school-based management will contribute to a safe and healthy learning environment and is a prerequisite for teachers and students to develop and practice positive hygiene habits.
The focus sho
uld be given to the role of the teacher as an active facilitator, bringing student autonomy to the system to become student-centred learning, and Focusing on the WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) activities in school.
