Laura has 21 years of teaching and leadership experience in the UK, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. She has extensive experience integrating artificial intelligence and other forms of educational technology in schools. As a founding member of the International Schools Network, Laura has appeared in roundtable discussions focusing on the impact Artificial Intelligence is having on education, and she has written published articles on this topic. Laura has been a Director of EducatorsAbroad Ltd since 2022 and has conducted extensive research into Artificial Intelligence and its impact on teacher professional development. She has also led in the development of various curricula including the British and IB curricula, to embed learning enhanced technology in teaching and learning. Laura is also a Lead Recruitment Adviser for Teacher Horizons. She continues to make contributions to the global education community through publications, webinars, and roundtable discussions. Enhancing Learning through Artificial Intelligence

In this presentation, the use of Artificial Intelligence in classrooms and its positive impact on pupil acquisition of skills and knowledge needed for now and in the future, will be explained. Case studies detailing how Artificial Intelligence, including robotics, is used in international schools across the globe, to enhance teaching and learning, will be presented. Strategies for introducing and embedding Artificial Intelligence will be shared to encourage teachers, leaders, and school owners to reflect on their current practice and to prepare for the transformation of teaching and learning in their schools when integrating Artificial Intelligence as an educational tool. Best practice will be revealed and anticipated challenges will be highlighted so that educators can make informed decisions when considering school development plans, adapting curriculum to effectively embed Artificial Intelligence and planning for a comprehensive approach to teacher professional development so that they are prepared to effectively deliver a curriculum of the ‘future’. The development of sound policies, including safeguarding policies, are an essential step towards engaging a school community and gaining support for the use of Artificial Intelligence in schools therefore approaches to policy development will be given consideration.
