Mr. Shady Elkassas

A Short Bio / زانیاری کەسیی / سيرة ذاتية قصيرة :

Shady is a multiple award-winning and passionate educator and certified trainer. He is a winner of the Khalifa Award of Education Excellence, and the Middle East Education Influencer Award winner. He is a STEM advocate and speaker in the MENA region. He has taken the initiative to adopt project-based learning (PBL) and inquiry-based learning (IBL) methodologies to create a new foundation of STEM learning in school in UAE and the MENA region. He strongly believes that leadership has a strong influence on education reform, and he takes initiative to communicate his vision inside and outside my school. Shady is currently a certified trainer with Perfect Purity and a Doctor of Education (Ed.D) candidate at the University of South Carolina, USA. He has been selected to be a speaker in three regional international education conferences – GESS-Dubai 2016, and 2017, and Fatih Educational Summit in Turkey 2016. He was also a GESS education award finalist for two years (2016 & 17). Shady worked with many prestigious schools in UAE as a vice principal and academic director. With Robotics being of particular interest to him, he has led many schools in UAE to win many awards at international events. He also was the academic advisor of the UAE Space Ambassadors program in Moscow – Russia. Furthermore, Shady is a professional columnist in many prestigious educational magazines. Additionally, he is a UNESCO peer-review team member. He has also been invited to speak at TEDx and GESS (Global Educational Supplies and Solutions Exhibition) events.

This presentation focuses on the critical role of innovation in transforming education practices. Through a comprehensive analysis of the impact of innovation on education, the presentation aims to enhance teachers’ understanding of innovative teaching strategies and technology integration in the classroom. The objectives are to empower teachers to leverage technology effectively to enhance student engagement and academic achievement, and to foster a culture of innovation among teachers and students. By promoting an innovative mindset and providing professional development opportunities, this presentation seeks to advance the adoption of innovative practices in education, ultimately leading to better educational outcomes for students.
