Seminar Title / ناونیشانی بابەت / عنوان الندوة :
Climate change education across the curriculum
Abstract / پوختە / الملخص :
“Climate change education often rests on the shoulders of teachers of science and geography. Research suggests, however, that learners need opportunities across the curriculum to gain the knowledge and skills that will be most useful to them to engage with the issues and feel agency.
In this session, we will look more closely at what we can do as school leaders and teachers to integrate the topic across the whole curriculum – and in co-curricular activities. We will explore:
• Creative ideas for ‘less obvious’ curriculum areas
• Ways in which staff can work together to focus on climate change education
• What can be done to empower young people.”
