Seminar Title / ناونیشانی بابەت / عنوان الندوة : Project-Based Learning: An Approach, an Opportunity and its Challenges

Abstract / پوختە / الملخص. :

Tests and Quizzes are still the dominant factors behind students’ passing and failure in Kurdistan’s educational institutions. However, twenty-first-century education requires more practical and creative education methodologies to engage students more by doing and practising what they are learning.

Classes are no longer the traditional walls or the so-called ‘prison’ that confine students, but a place where students to learn effectively need to be connected to the global world to which its sinews have tied every class to the global market and global society. Hence, Project-based-learning (PBL) as an approach can be a crucial opportunity to aid KRG’s educational institutions, which is one of the fundamental cornerstones of 21-century education. It is worth mentioning that its implementation is not without challenges. Therefore, this approach will be discussed as an opportunity and its challenges will be highlighted.
