Seminar Title / ناونیشانی بابەت / عنوان الندوة :Teacher leadership

Abstract:

Education is a never-ending process. However, in the era of globalization, the traditional model, where responsibility and decision-making rest with one person, a teacher in the classroom, may no longer be effective. Therefore, professional development for teachers is recognised as a vital element in enhancing the quality of teaching and student learning outcomes.

Consequently, there is an increased need for the professional development of educational leaders to fulfill their roles. Educational leaders can have a high impact on shaping school culture, curriculum development, student deep learning. Therefore, their professional development is critical to their continued success as leaders.

Koya University understands the significant role of continuing professional development in enhancing its teachers’ excellence and students’ achievement. Thus, its academic development centre conducts several professional development programs that focus on providing training, resources, and consultative services with improved student achievement as the end goal. Implementing professional education development has benefited both teachers and students, but most importantly, it helped teachers to become better educators and incorporate 21st-century skills into their classrooms.
